The young Reserve team came up against the unbeaten league leaders Sutton United without two regulars, who have gone on loan to Bedfont.
Sam Sharples, with first team experience, and the ever improving Laurie Walters have been loaned out to get regular first team football, and the Woods did miss them.
Unfortunately the Woods were second best to Sutton all afternoon and ended up with a 1-4 defeat.
Douglas Kissuule was the scorer for Northwood, netting from the penalty spot midway through the first half to send the team in at half time 1-2 down.
Sutton continued to be the stronger side for the remainder of the game and netted twice more.
